Our Story ❤️

Our story actually began long before either of us realized what it would one day become.

April first met Samantha through Samantha’s younger sister, Jessica, when they were teenagers. What started as an online friendship formed through a T.A.T.U fan forum quickly turned into daily conversations over Yahoo and MSN Messenger — back when that’s how friendships were built. Jessica lived in California while April was in Arizona, and through shared photos and stories, Samantha occasionally appeared in the background of those early years without either of them knowing how important that would someday be.

Life eventually brought Jessica — and later Samantha — to Arizona. The first time April saw Samantha in person, everything changed instantly. Even though Samantha was in a committed relationship at the time and saw April simply as her little sister’s friend, April remembers feeling something she couldn’t quite explain… an immediate and unforgettable connection.

Years passed before timing finally gave them a real chance to know each other. In 2011, Jessica invited Samantha to join a night out, and for the first time April and Samantha truly connected. What followed was a year of growing friendship, undeniable chemistry, and feelings that neither of them fully knew how to navigate at the time. April already knew in her heart that Samantha was someone incredibly special — the kind of person you only meet once.

But as often happens when you’re young, timing wasn’t on their side. Missed chances, complicated emotions, and life decisions pulled them in different directions. They each moved forward, built separate lives, and eventually lost touch. It felt like their story had quietly come to an end.

Eleven years later, fate stepped back in.

While scrolling through social media one day, April found herself wondering about Samantha and looked her up — only to discover a video Samantha had made reflecting on her younger years. To April’s surprise, the video included a photo of the two of them together. After all that time, Samantha had remembered too.

Taking a leap of faith, April reached out, hoping simply to reconnect as friends. Instead, they picked up right where they left off. The connection was still there. The spark never faded. This time, life, timing, and love were finally aligned.

After years apart, second chances, and a love that refused to disappear, April now gets to marry the girl who once felt like “the one that got away.”

And now, their forever truly begins.
